Information processed by the app
RecUtility may process accounting or financial data provided by the user, including transaction descriptions, dates, amounts, account labels, customer names, vendor names, reference numbers, invoice numbers, journal IDs, or other information that appears in the user’s source data.
RecUtility does not require users to create an account.
Local processing
RecUtility processes user-provided data locally on the user’s device. The app does not upload, transmit, sell, share, or otherwise disclose user-provided accounting data to the developer or to third parties.
Data storage
RecUtility does not intentionally store imported or pasted transaction data outside of the user’s active app session unless the user chooses to export, copy, save, or otherwise preserve results using available system or app features.
If the user copies or exports reconciliation results, the resulting data is controlled by the user and may be stored wherever the user chooses to place it.
Internet access and telemetry
RecUtility does not use cloud-based reconciliation services and does not transmit user transaction data over the internet.
RecUtility does not include third-party advertising, tracking, or analytics features.
Microsoft Store and Windows platform services may separately process information related to app installation, licensing, crash reporting, diagnostics, or Store usage according to Microsoft’s own privacy policies and the user’s Windows settings.
User control
Users control what data they paste or import into RecUtility. Users should avoid importing data they do not have permission to process.
Security
Because RecUtility processes data locally, users are responsible for protecting access to their own device, Windows account, copied data, exported files, and any source documents used with the app.
Changes to this policy
This privacy policy may be updated as RecUtility changes. If the app’s data handling practices change materially, this policy will be updated to reflect those changes.
